Looks great Mike. It is getting there. It has to be exciting to start feeling an end in sight.

Thanks Dean Yes, I can't wait to take the maiden voyage. There's still a ton of work to get done and I still need a ton of parts. |

Looking good. It helps to have another to compare as you put everything back. My mind sometimes cannot remember everything that I took apart.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Thanks Dwight. It definitely helps to have a complete truck of the same model to compare to. I refer to it several times each day for simple wire routing, hardware and anything else that comes up.

Thanks Dave. I picked the indicator up at classic parts out of Kansas City. I'll see if I can find a part number.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Been busy on the truck the last few weeks. My son Landen (Eightiesonly) took the lead on the engine control fuse box. He has done a great job on the wiring, retrofitting of the original harness and making wiring diagrams to document it all.
We have it where the engine will start up with the key now ![]() ![]() I have been working on the Vintage Air install, Electric fan wiring and got the Lokar shifter installed. Built a bracket for my engine fuse box. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Wiring ![]() ![]() ![]() Installed some trim ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Shifter installed ![]() ![]() Vintage Air ![]() |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Thanks Mark. Sounds like a plan
Thanks Big D Thanks Chip. You can handle the wiring just plan on spending a bunch of time or bunch of $$ for a stand alone harness. |

![]() Your LS1 engines have nearly as many wires, they are a little neater when you get them though. I got a little messy when I did my initial fire up. I will get some pictures of it all when I get it all routed neatly. I promise it's just the original harness, engine harness and cluster harness you are seeing. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Oh yeah!!! That is looking awesome! I am glad I won't have as many wires since I'm running the old style FI. I know that when you're done, it will look as great as the rest of the truck.

Great job Mike, I have faith your wiring will turn out like the rest of the truck, nice and clean. Cool shirt BTW.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Started figuring out my LS swap A/C fittings last night with Crash_OK's help. Thanks Mark.
It's a combination of the stock LS style fittings and the Vintage Air fittings that came with my kit. Welded them up this morning. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
