Started to make my cuts to the bed wood and strips for the access panels to the rear end housing and gas tank fillers. Next will be making the cuts for the widened wheel tubs.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

I opened the engine to see what was not letting it turn
found that 1,7, and number 2 cylinders had white powder in them causing them not let pistons to come up to top of stroke, removed intake, removed heads, , after cleaning them, the motor turns with no problems
now will go and get new gaskets and put her back together, and see if she will run

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Just scored this set of original wheels with rusty trim rings and great condition center caps from a '63. The vehicle has been in one family.

Not bad for $50!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

This afternoon was as much like old times as it's been in quite some time.

Applied a second coat of resin to the fan shroud.

Fab'd some brackets to hold it to the core support and shot them with rusto.

Swapped out the gray seat belts for red, then installed the bench seat.

Put away tools, swept the garage and called it a day!

Thanks. Those are helpful. My Weber might get a similar throttle connection although I do have the option of a throttle cable system.
