Hopefully there will be paint in a couple of months. I would like to have this truck painted by summer. I can't wait for the bed to come in, it's the last piece of the puzzle to make it look like a truck again.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Ha! I never realized the red truck in your 1st post was yours. I started my build 2 yrs ago and I printed off a lot of trucks off this site and put them up on a set of lockers in my garage for inspiration/motivation. Over time, I've changed some out but your red one has always stayed. Looked super clean.
I love the 67-68 trim on slammed trucks. It's going to look sick with your wheels.

Yeah I'm excited to get the bed, just crossing my fingers that everything comes in damage free. Haven't bought any paint supplies yet, still trying to figure out what I want I know I know I can't make a decision.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Yeah I have thought about it but with Satin Blue and Satin White combo. I'm not a fan of the original Dark Blue in shiney paint for some reason.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Looking good!
I know all to well about outfitting the garage. I swear I'm going to have more time and money in tools, benches and garage stuff then I will the truck build. Heck since owning the two trucks in the past 6 months I've rearranged the garage at least a dozen times.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
The good thing about collecting tools and garage stuff is that you'll be able to use them again on other projects. Sometimes projects that aren't truck/car related too. I love tools almost as much as classics!
It's nice to see parts coming in. Can't wait to see the bed together with those shiny wheels!

503 Green would look cool. (But i think any 67-72 color, would look good on your truck.! ) I will keep my eye open for a tailgate for you. Tom |

Thanks Eric, I saw a lot of guys on here using the Mar-K trim. Definitely is quality stuff. Thanks Tom, if I don't find a tailgate by the end of April after all the swap meets then I'll just order a new one.
