Re: GM Semis
Great trucks. That Chevy B model is great. That spot just might be the most popular spot for photo shots of trucks.

Re: GM Semis
I think it's an 80 and I agree 64. That spot, Lebec, CA is popular but not even close to most popular. Ron Adams shot (and is still shooting) photos at his spot along I-78 in PA for more than 50 years. Well into the hundreds of thousands of photos.

I live not too far from 78 in PA. Which photos might you be referring to?

Re: GM Semis
Here's one of Ron's GMCs. He has written many books and has hsd photos in magazines. He lives in Lenhartsville and has been collecting truck photos and other stuff for 65 years. I can say he has more photos and more original truck photos than anyone in the WORLD.

Re: GM Semis
I think Chevy called those an 'E-80'.

Re: GM Semis
Yes, 1964 diesel was an E80. Lighter, gas models were L-models, L60, etc.

Re: GM Semis
Yeah, I wasn't sure about it, that's why I put "B" in parenthesis, lol.
It would have been nice if both Chevy and GMC always used the same Letter designation.

Re: GM Semis
Interesting picture of a truck obviously in the development stage. Notice the date on the bottom of the picture (9-22-64). Goes to show how early they started on them. Also notice the small Chevy script in the Grille, which they never ended up using. It's the same script that they used on the Grille of the '65 Impala. They also changed the Grille style a little. It is a cool picture.

Such a nice rig. That prototype is neat. I wonder if it's clay.

Wow, South American (Brazil/Argentina) Chevy Super Brigadier! I think they actually built them down there.

I figured you'd pick up on that one. I think you are right about them being built down there.

Re: GM Semis
Yep, digital cameras brought out a lot more photos in the world. I took more pictures on film than anyone I knew. Talking in general. Yet, I have relatively few photos of my trucks and many I never took any pictures at all. I also have pictures that didn't come out well or deteriorated from storage or got damaged. I remember people asking me why I took pictures of my vehicle. It was in no way a common thing. The expense and effort inhibited it's use by many. That's why insta-matics were a success.
The only two pictures I took of my '61 Champ I restored in the late-70s. And I remember my girlfriend asking me why I was taking them that day GM heavy hauler

Nice Studebaker. You don't see many around anymore.
Also a pretty nice Heavy Medium under it.
