Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

I went over some rough train tracks today and my exhaust hanger broke. I found a broken lightbulb on the side of the road and used the filament to wire up my exhaust....

Time to put some bailing wire in my toolbox...

I made a redneck fuel pump block off plate for my 305 V6 and got my 64 GMC head lights working properly. Now for some night time cruising.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Well with the end of the road trip it's now down to the real work .

With all the front new and back together it's time to finish the rear . In an earlier post, I showed the rear axel in a lovely shade of yellow . After Rian had come over and helped me lift it into the garage , I got on with getting it all painted . That yellow had to go

The before picture of how it looked in the summer when I removed it

Sanded ready for paint

All painted ready to go back on

Back in the truck

I just need to sort out the rear brakes and get the rear drums painted . Then I can get her back on the wheels

Adjusted my brakes (so many spider nests) and installed a fuel pressure regulator to adjust the flooding issues I was having with my Edelbrock carb setup. The truck has never run better.

Picked up another steel wheel for the c10. Just need to find one more, then I can get rid of the awful aluminum wheels.

You probably better put the reinforcement plate around those hose's or it might bust the tube 's where they are soldered.
