Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Boring report for tonight. I installed my steering shaft fully tonight only to find it isn't straight, and that matters. So I started remaking it from another extra part I had squirreled away. I am going to take it to my race car fabricator's shop to let them make it perfectly straight for me.

I put both fenders back on for the last time I think.

Air ride is all fixed now too, so check that off the list.

So when we read about your truck in a magazine it will say the only thing not done in-house by Drew himself was custom building the steering shaft...

Good call though, steering is safety.

Unbelievable work, Drew! Simply awesome!

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Tonight I actually ate spaghetti, inside the house of course.

After that I cut apart my battery tray and remade it to fit on the drivers side where the new truck setup is.

I also made this funny little bracket to mount the engine computer to. I found a perfect little spot tucked up in the fender that the wires were just long enough to reach. I'll have to paint them black, but first I'll have to replace my welder that died before I finished my computer bracket.

Hey Drew, are you using the newer trucks heater/ac dash controls? If so, I'll be anxious to see that once you install it.

Yes I will, but of course I can't make it simple. I don't want to see that controller and it's 90's/00's look. I am going to extend the wires up the A pillar and make a custom mini overhead console mount. Trying to get it out of sight as best as possible.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

haha, you sound like me. But, it'll look great.

I got so used to my factory radio delete dash, that when I finally got around to installing a stereo, I didn't want to mess with that beautiful blank white canvas of a dash. So... where did the radio go? Overhead.
