Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Took my chassis (bare rails), engine crossmember and trailing arms to be sandblasted. Then, we fired up the sons' new sandblaster cabinet and started cleaning up some stuff so we can paint it.

Applied rust converter to the rear of my frame. Contimplated the rest of the project, dreaming of the day I will drive it again...soon...very soon.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I took the truck of the stands, washed down the engine and cleaned the interior. I took down the sunvisors and they must of had 20 years of dust on them under all the sanding dust that got added to them. As soon as this white stuff goes away and all the darn salt on our roads it's going to get a good hosing.

Looks good, what is it off of?

IT's off a 91 chevy silverado. It fits perfect just had to drill some holes in the frame and in the fenders.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Finally found a donor truck at the salvage that I could use the pass. vent window assembly to rebuild mine with! Now i'm done with cab rubber replacement, except for front and back glass.

Tinkered around. Put a coat of clear on my headlight, wiper knob and cigarette lighter. Replaced the driver side defrost duct and fired her up in the garage for a few minutes.

No particular reason. I smoothed down some gouges and then cleared the knobs. It turned them shiny. Hopefully it will last. They were some extras I just picked up. I may take some pics today when I get home so you all can tell me what you think.

Put some 1 inch spacers under the rear coils to put a little rake in her.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Spent way to much time next to the air compressor sand blasting a set of rally wheels.
Hopefully paint will get sprayed tomorrow so I can mount my new to me 31x10.5 BFG All Terrians.
