For those of you trying to create a patina look, I took some close up high res shots of genuine patina, that might help you to recreate the look. You can view them here

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

I just went thru all the pages and pics, nice collection. I'm new to the forum and to the old Chevy trucks. (I'll refrain from elaborating on my Brand X fascination!)
Anyway, I recently bought a 72 Chevy from a young man who bought it from the original owner and never titled it so I guess I will technically be the 2nd owner. Unfortunately he started spray painting the inside black with the goal of painting the whole truck black. He gave up on it because he is starting a business. The gas tank is/was full of rust and clogged up the carb. When I got it they had taken the carb off. I put a Holley on it and got it running long enough to move it from the field it was in. They pulled the box off too, it's pretty rough but I intend to go back and get it. Pulled the gas tank out and it is too far gone I think. Sounds like it's full of sand! Anyway, it's not a "shop" truck but has patina. I have a Brand X Drag car and this will be my race car hauler.
