I think you should paint the red stripe back on and clear it

Edit... looked back... looks like the red was on the trim piece.

looking at the bare car i would say gunmetal grey metallic would look good alltough its a modern colour
another option would be to use some chassic racingcolours referring to toyota (white and red)

It does have a tin roof, but I have 150 foot fir trees on the south side so it stays pretty cool in the summer. The insulation can't hurt though!

The painter said if flows very well. I'll find out for myself soon enough. But first I have to prepare the shop to be able to maintain proper paint and cure temps (>65*F).

that will help a lot in hot weather too aspecially if you have a tin roof

Not sure if I mentioned - the floor, eng bay, trunk, and entire underside are still bare since I have a few loose ends to clean up in those areas. I'll be spraying the SPI epoxy myself and hitting the underside and wheel wells with Raptorliner within the SPI respray window.
