I originally had a 8 leaf pack and took 4 leafs out and put drop shackles. drove it like that for 2 years and a few weeks ago i put a 8 leaf pack back in took out the drop shackles for stockers. made my own flip kit and this is how it looks now

He polished out all the factory trim. All the trim on the truck is the original brushed finished trim that he polished out to look more chrome than stainless.

how did he polish it? there have been a lot of folks on here speculate as to how to shine aluminum trim. i assume he used a wheel, but could you please tell me what compound? it would be much appreciated. thanks

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

Here's mine. It's super dirty since we live on a dirty/dusty farm road. I still need to get the hood painted aswell as the front bumper. The lights on the grille will be behind the grille soon. I'm also planning to lower the front an inch or two after I fix the body alignment.

My wife and my inlaws say they actually like the white hood(it makes the truck stand out from the other two similar trucks in town), but I think it'll look more "complete" with the hood painted to match.

Truck looks good. Yeah the white hood is different, but I'm with you it will look better when it's painted.
