anyone know any details about this truck. year, and model? was it orginally a 2500 / 3/4 ton 2wd and made into a 1500 / 1/2 ton by change of spindles and axles? reason i am asking is i have been searching on ebay, autotrader, hemmings, etc. for a similiar truck to start a daily driver build. i would like a crew cab but don't want 8 lug bolt pattern for wheel selection. any insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

They didn't make 1/2 ton crews
If you want 5 (or 6) lug you will need to convert.
If you get a single rear wheel 3/4 or 1 ton you will have to swap to 1/2 ton lower control arms and spindles and a 1/2 ton rear diff. You might have to swap driveshafts as well. I'm not sure about the SRW but I know the DRW spring hangers are different and the shocks are inboard of the frame.....

Love the colors! It's a different blue, but it's pretty much the reverse of the paint scheme I want to put on my '88.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

square bodies are still the sexiest of all to me.......

I think you will see the trend begin with the two tone paint.....we are looking to do black from the door handle down and sunset orange metallic on the upper half....

AWESOME STANCE!!!!!
