It is looking great keep posting the progress. Looking forward to when you can post more pictures with it all together because the trim on the bed looks great. The scary part will be putting all of it back together with out scratches or chips.

My son and I worked on the chassis wiring Sunday so I could install the cab. I had plans on finishing the parking/e-brake cables. Apparently, I'm missing some part from GM that I need. I have to track those down, I'll will be installing them from underneath now.

Cab Day is always a good day. Congrats!! For whatever reason, I do like the little band around the back of the cab. Lookin' great as always. You gotta be gettin' excited!

Congrats on planting the cab Mike!! Looks fantastic! I didn't notice if your cab was OG with the paint divider or not? Did you have to drill and install the little stud kit? Any tips or tricks for the install?

The cab originally had a white painted roof. So yes the studs were already there. But one of them broke during bodywork phase so I had to use a little screw to hold it. It was little challenging to get it centered just right.
but doable, I just used some masking tape as a straight edge.

I bought the little stud kit and have drilled my cab. I'm worried they're a little cheesey and will probably dab a little epoxy or 262 on each screw when I install them. Was wondering how difficult it was to pop the trim on there?

Oh okay I understand, yeah epoxy or loctite is probably a good idea. The trim just pops right on with a little force. I ended up using oem retainers off of two parts trucks I have. I bought aftermarket retainers but they aren't even close to the original quality and they had bad gaps.

Well first off I bought the wrong set of cables, but it was like 3 years ago. I need new adjustment cables and hardware. I'll probably order those from Inline tube again. They have oem quality parts.

The GM pieces I'm missing are the bent rods that go into the frame. I may have a set somewhere in my stock pile, just not sure where....
One thing that kinda concerns me, I'm worried about the cable routing because I routed my exhaust inside the frame. I can't remember how the originals were routed?

I love Inline Tube's parts - definitely the way to go. The bent hooks were what I had a hard time finding, I got some from one of the members in the For Sale section here that was parting some trucks, then I blasted and painted them. If you need any pics of the routing of the cables, let me know, I can get some for you - even though your routing may vary due to the exhaust. Hopefully you'll be able to route everything without an issue - I was worried by the hack-job of an exhaust routing that the PO did on mine - but it still came together fine

I already found the little curled hook, but I haven't found the other pieces. I'm certain I have them somewhere. It won't be the first time I rebought parts though....

Very, very nice. So if I understand correctly, the divider trim snaps onto the studs that are installed on the cab? How are the studs attached to the cab from the factory?

Thank you. The studs are spot welded to the cab from gm. There are little nylon retainers that lock on the studs, then the trim snaps over the retainers.
