that's it - that's the final straw!

I can take the playing keep-away with all the cherry trucks, but......

standing rule in my shop, no one goes to in-n-out without me

It kills me that everyone loves "In and Out". I like it but it's not a really good burger. It's mediocre at best.... The fries are awesome though!

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Steak fries from Tommy's were the best ever, bar none. I used to stop by one of those stores on the way home from work sometimes, and get a bag. My waistline showed it.

Right! Sometimes when we visit Phoenix, Vegas or Cali we will stop in and grab a burger but it’s never been something overwhelmingly good to me… I’ll eat it but I can definitely live with out it.

I’m partial to New Mexico green Chile burgers my self.

Lol we have short attention spans!

I wish those old bias ply tires were still around. They are the perfect look for a stock truck.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Been looking into the factory paint stripe this truck came with
You can see the remnants on both sides where it was
Also
JQ-72 has a great thread on it. Thanks Joshua
Gotta find someone to paint them back on

Dang that is the nicest sandalwood dash pad I think I've ever seen. A saddle dash pad would compliment that color truck as well.

One of the things I enjoy the most about old vehicles is researching their history and having original paperwork. Although I mostly know the ownership history on both my C20 and K20, they came with no paperwork. Back in the winter, I dragged this pile home, and of course, the original owners manual and protecto-plate were in what was left of the glovebox.

I feel that...
Fished this Rusty Nut out
of a Junk Yard in CA run by a
Rusty Nut from CA...

Non runner of course, but had the
Protecto-Plate and other goodies
stashed in a rat's nest in the glove box.
A little internet sleuthing and I got in contact
with the original owner.

Well into his 80s.
Truck was originally med olive.
Told tales of outrunning a Campered Ford
With a top of his own,
through the desert
after a hunting trip.

He was as cool as the truck.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I had two of our trucks that I had every piece of paper these trucks can come with. Hindsight I probably should have kept them

71 K20 I bought from my neighbor. He bought it brand new, traded in his 69 because he wanted the newer upgrades that 71 offered. He had a notebook with everything it in. Even notes from when he was working the numbers.

72 C10 Burb loaded (well no tach). That came with all the paperwork too, even the window "sticker". I think I was the fourth owner, but owner number three pretty much just flipped it to me.
