That looks great! I forgot what you're doing for bed floor....wood or metal? I think it would look really cool if the factory metal floor flowed into that piece...

Mike, is it the picture, not being finished welding, or what, but does the new piece "bow" in towards the center of the bed? Might be just an illusion (referring to first pic in post #2410).

I agree with you. Tough decision to make. It's not easily changed. It took me three days to pick the right shade of yellow for my truck. I finally gave the samples to my wife and said pick one. I was ready to paint it satin black. Good luck bud.

Mike I hear what you're saying but I have a completely different approach on
my color choice since it will be my daily driver (assuming it's ever done). I
want it to stand out in a crowd but not attract too much attention,
especially from those guys and gals in those cars with the little lights on top
of their cars.

Plus, when I tow my matching VW to a show, it'll really draw attention.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Ok Mike, and everyone on here, I need to hijack for a minute. I need some help. I really should start a build thread but I need to decide on a name for the thread (and the truck for that matter).

As you can see in my signature, I have a '71 Blazer. It's currently 4x4 but will be dropped on a shortened '72 short bed frame with (most likely) Dropmember C4 front suspension and a triangulated 4 link rear, all on air (shockwaves in front and tapered sleeves in the rear with Chris Alston billet adj shocks). The drive train will be '00 LS1 with a 4l65e (basically C5 Corvette) and 12 bolt posi. Since the suspension will be C4 and the drivetrain C5, I'm thinking of calling the build "Project C45 Blazer". What do you think? Any other suggestions?

The name of my matching '57 VW beetle is "Baby" from the color of the car and the truck will be the same colors. Any name suggestions?

How about "My Corvette Optioned Blazer" or "Blazette" or "Money Pit Blazer Bodied Vette" or "Pile of Parts Eventually Intended to be My Ultimate Ride Blazer/Corvette, Bumper Scraper, Spark Maker, Chick Magnet, Rice Rocket Roasting, Project Build Thread"

No matter what you call it, get it built.
