Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

What really gets me about that truck is that I HATE browns and tans, but that truck pulls it off nicely!

Doesn't look like you'll have to do much to that new truck ....

Good luck with it.

Your plan still to sell the burb?

I believe the harness is the same but if you have the burb IMO i would just leave it all hooked up to the motor and unplug the harness at the firewall. Then all you have to do is unplug yours pull the motor drop the new one in and plug it back in. The computer may be different but i am not for sure.. Good luck

there are about 5 or 6 here in my area both single and crew cabs, my dads crew had one in it but the axle didnt like the cummins transplant (or our heavy foots) and it decided to break all of the welds and proceeded to rip the driveline apart as the pumpkin spun on the axle tubes 90 degrees. i bet the toyota driver behind us about crapped his pants as he saw our driveline flying for his prius' window. they look cool but i will never trust them again

dam this is a very nice truck just to let you know i started to build my truck and the 2 trucks that inspired my build were hills crew cab and this one i loved all the detail they left in this truck by leaving all the original trim on the truck and i like the hills crew because they keep d the truck a 3/4 ton 8 lug

Love the saddle interior, that seems pretty rare to me. Especially in a white truck. Looks gorgeous!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Quick question: I'm nearly ready for paint, and I'm thinking about painting it myself, always wanted to try. How much paint will I need for a crewcab longbed fleetside? I'm guessing about 2 gallons because it's so big, but I really have no idea. Truck is almost entirely black already, except for four grey primer doors. What's a good sturdy paint to use (black) that will stand up to working and winter driving? Never going to be a show truck, just want it to look halfway pretty and all one color.
Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I figured it would be the quickest place to find someone who knows.
