The 83 is on 31's with a 4 speed connected to a 355 with forged and balanced scat crank and rods with keith black hypereutectic flat tops with double hump heads, lunati voodoo cam 60103 268/276 duration, edelbrock torker 2 intake with the good ol quadrajet on top. Oh and its got a wild cherry stained wood bed.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Here's my '76 K20 Silverado it has the 400/400 combo.

Running collector license plates now and gone are the makeshift mudflaps on the rear bumper. Other than a tune-up and timing adjustment it's exactly how I bought it 3 years ago.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I just stumbled in here, and thought I'd share my two longbeds. The yellow one I've had since 1990, and it's a nice survivor low option Scottsdale 79 with 69,000 miles on it. The GMC is a recent find, a 79 Trailering Special half ton with power windows, air, cruise, and the original 454. The GMC needs a few minor parts to be roadworthy, and the Chevy is driven a couple times a month.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Thanks for the welcome, folks! A bit more background, my great granddad bought the yellow pickup new in 79 when he was 80. When he passed in 90, it became mine with 21,000 miles on it. Just last year I found the buildsheet for it under the dash. It's the only vehicle, including brand new ones I've owned, that's never once left me on the side of the road.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

I picked up some 16 inch wheels to replace the stock 16.5. Painted them Santa Fe to match the side stripe.

Those are actually Mazda B series truck tail lights, I recognize them right down to the reflector in the one with the missing lens. Probably grafted on to legalize them in countries where an amber signal is required.

Pic of the tail light on my B2000 parts truck:

And to counteract the Mazda post...here is a pic of my 78 from July 4th

The 82 i just picked up today. 350-465-205 i believe Dana 44 front with external hubs and it has a 14 bolt ff rear. Needs some work but im not real sure what the plan is for it yet since i have my 84 shortbed project going on yet.
