Great progress!! I'll be experiencing the wiring crap in a few weeks, not looking forward to it. Paint turned out excellent, keep the pictures coming!

Yes, I can't wait to take the maiden voyage. There's still a ton of work to get done and I still need a ton of parts.

Looking good. It helps to have another to compare as you put everything back. My mind sometimes cannot remember everything that I took apart.

Thanks Dwight. It definitely helps to have a complete truck of the same model to compare to. I refer to it several times each day for simple wire routing, hardware and anything else that comes up.

Thanks Dave. I picked the indicator up at classic parts out of Kansas City. I'll see if I can find a part number.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

It takes forever to get all the little details done. Unless you buy every part new you have to clean and paint everything and it just takes forever. Ain't those tilt columns a joy to play with? Especially after a year or so apart? Next time I'm just buying a new one.

You're in the home stretch now though. Looking real good.

Thanks hgs. Yep you are dead on, I don't have the cash to buy all new parts and half the aftermarket parts are crap anyway. I haven't been too happy with most of the aftermarket pieces I've bought so far, plus you can rack up $100 on rubber bumpers and screws in a heartbeat. I will definitely buy a ready to go tilt next time. What a pain...

Re: 1969 Short Wide

Been busy on the truck the last few weeks. My son Landen (Eightiesonly) took the lead on the engine control fuse box. He has done a great job on the wiring, retrofitting of the original harness and making wiring diagrams to document it all.
We have it where the engine will start up with the key now

I have been working on the Vintage Air install, Electric fan wiring and got the Lokar shifter installed.

Built a bracket for my engine fuse box.

Wiring

Installed some trim

Shifter installed

Vintage Air

Thanks, I will try to get some better pictures. I take a bunch but most are out of focus or just bad. The kid is doing a really good job on the wiring. It looks crazy but it will all tuck up nice and neat when we figure out the best routing. I just wanted you guys to see what it looks like when you stuff wire for all the engine controls and relays inside the cab. I have no doubt if this truck was just standard carbed motor I would be driving it already. I think the extra effort will go a long way for reliability and drive anywhere confidence.

Thanks Chip. You can handle the wiring just plan on spending a bunch of time or bunch of $$ for a stand alone harness.
