Re: My Facetruck thread.
Congratulations to both of you for all your successes. Nothing comes easy but there are ways to make it easier and that's how you both roll, I believe. It takes two baby!
You could pass for 20 in that picture

Re: My Facetruck thread.
That makes two of us! I remember when I woke up the morning after a car accident in the hospital, and had no idea what happened. I got up and wheeled my IV stand along down the hall to the nurses' station to see what was going on. They were shocked to see me out of bed walking and hurried me back to bed. The one nurse later told me they got a big kick out of that and the fact my buns were showing on my way back the hallway, gown wasn't tied. I was doped up with a broken jaw and one knee laid open, among other things, from a head-on I was lucky to have survived.

Those were the days. Nobody took the keys out of anything, or locked a door. I guess in a way were throwin' down the sign.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
The cousin had a Plymouth Satellite sleeper. It was a Raod Runner in disguise, with 383 Magnum, four speed and sure grip. About the time that picture was taken, we sent out to Industrial Park Road one morning for a match race. I had a 70 Chevelle 396, four speed, and my uncle had a 66 Ford Fairlane that was pieced together,(another sleeper).
I ran the Satellite first, both of us not taking the Fairlane seriously. He beat me about half a car twice, then he ran the Fairlane and it beat him twice. Like I said we learned the true meaning of sleeper that day.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I think that picture was taken in Southern California in 1973. I don't think I have any from the beach on that trip.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I was telling a young girl in the office the other day that four years after that picture was taken I sold my first $700,000 (Todays dollars) house. Looking back, It never occurred to me I couldn't do it. I don't know if I was confident or stupid.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
When you load the little woman up in the El Camino, and head for Washington DC in July, and the blower motor on the AC quits in Columbus, OH, naturally you pull into a motel, find a shade, pull the inner fender and change it.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
My friend (the one observing) drove me to the parts store for a new fan motor. We had to change the fan as I remember it, and use a chisel to "brad" in on. That was ten years ago and it is still working. I was putting the last bolts in the inner fender. I always keep a couple of old blankets in the back of the El Camino to keep bags and tool boxes from scratching the floor.
We just got home from my sisters and need to get in bed so we can get up and go see the kids open presents tomorrow.
