These are the only pics I can find on this computer of that bike. My website has a lot on it www.coyotecustoms.com. The bike is called 040. These are from an issue of Cruising Rider. Sorry for the size. [IMG][/IMG] |

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
I liked the truck black but when I found out it was a factory Sport Package I had to get it back to original. I am in the process of that now. I am looking for a 2wd Blazer to paint flat black like my truck was so I can satisfy my old school fix. Thanks for the compliments on the bikes too.

Here's my '84 shorty. It's the daily driver for now. When I get my crew cab done, it will get a few adjustments.

I'm actually in Louisville, Ky. Those pictures were taken the day I drove the truck back from Cincinnati.

Shot taken from a show. Im guessing mid 70s on 20 inch rims. Very nice truck. Engine fully polished along with the plexiglass floored bed.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
Here's mine.
87' 350 TBI, 700R4 and 3.08 at the rear. NYC has beaten it up a bit, so it's not as shinny scratch free, but the spring will bring some re freshening (paint, E cables, exhaust). Here's what I'm thinking about for a spring (season) drop, maybe a 3/4 or so, still would like to keep a bit of a rake though. As for the color, it's gets a bit more orange/gold in bright sun and a bit browner in the shade, which is nice cause it sometimes looks like a factory and other times custom. Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
How's the fuel mileage with that tranny and gear combo? We put a 700R4 in front of my son's 3.08 rear end and we go lousy mileage. We gained a large amount of it back when we put a 3.73 gear set in the rear end. with that combo, the truck ran so low in the RPMs that it was always working hard to get back up to speed in hilly country.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
In my old 84 it had the 305/700R4 and 3.08's in it. It seemed to do ok on gas mileage.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds
My son's truck dropped from 13 to 11 MPG and with the 3.73 gears it went back to 14 MPG. We put the RPMs in the power curve area for the 350 that is in the truck.
