So Dave if the the good life you have lived is 40 years worth and you just turned 50...... If think you are missing 10 years worth

Well boys , it is my turn to go play in the woods and bark and howl , I'll be back soon.

Dave- I will get you a mountain maiden or a wolfy, whichever I find first.

I heard a story today about a bow hunter that tagged his wolf at 3 paces while bugling elk.

Re: Daverods project 66

Well .I did not miss much excitement here while I was gone hunting.
No mountain maidens to be found in the woods , But I found fresh tracks in the snow.
I heard loud grunting out in the forest one night after every one had gone to sleep.
But I was too scared to go out alone....

Re: Daverods project 66

Grunting?? Are you sure it was'nt moaning ? Some of those mountain maidens are corn fed and can be very large. You should consider yourself lucky to be alive.

Re: Daverods project 66

I am glad to be back in town where it is safe. I smelled something really bad once while I was riding one of the logging roads on my four wheeler just before dark , So I gassed it and got the heck out of there.
If a mountain maiden is sneaking up on you and you are not ready , it is better to just run than to be taken alive.........

Re: Daverods project 66

Just because we go hunting doesn't mean we kill things. Most the time I never kill anything. When I do kill stuff I kinda feel bad. For a second then I feel really happy.

Re: Daverods project 66

I never see stuff like that when I go hunting. Well I did catch this one couple but they did'nt look like that. Cashed in my truck bed trailer for $75 minus the bed sides. Paid 200 for it so I got the sides for 125. I'm sure I'll need them someday.
