Great color choice! I always hoped you would come to the light and change the color .
How did you tint the undercoating? Is that just regular paint that you poured into it or is it special pigment?

don't hold back man! We used a single stage acrylic urethane mixed per the Nogaro Blue paint code minus pearls (paint shop said they would look weird/streaky in the undercoating). Mix that into the Raptor at 10% by volume and it takes on the color. I would have expected it to look 90% diluted, but the color came through very well.

I just noticed they took all your perfect seam sealer off.

Yeh, that was my cart-before-the-horse moment. I hadn't decided to go full nutty-blasto-tastic at that point. As you can see, I didn't mask the sealer this time around. I did take the time to keep it tidy enough to be invisible under the Raptor Liner. Eng comp and trunk will probably get masked seams.

Excellent work on the bottom side! looking forward to seeing the top side too. Man, you guys are killing it. I used the Raptor on my truck too. Under coating and bed floor liner. So far, I'm very happy with the results. only time will tell how it's effected by UV rays.

It's supposed to be "UV Resistant." Under a car should be no worries. Would be interested in long term durability as a truck bed-liner. Seems the ultimate test.

Looks fantastic!

What is the plan for masking that off? Wondering if it'll be hard to mask it off now that it has a textured finish for when you're doing the engine compartment, etc.

You can buy seam sealer tape that would probably be a lot easier to apply and perfectly straight.

Discussed this with Bruce before spraying it. He says he's masked this stuff before. I'll see what the trick is...

Re: '66 Sunbeam Minx Project - F20C/6sp/4-link/Discs...

he prolly kept the stuff between the inside corners of the pinchwelds , as long as he sprays down and has a booth the sucks the air intoo the booth floor you will hardly get overspray even without taping it off
he prolly respray the inner wheelwells with the straight paint , he prolly could put some sheets of somewat stiff foam (like for a seat cushion or a matrass ) or cartboard cut to size and stuck between a set of old wheels and the inner edge of the inner fender and spray the car that way , basic resistance against bending will keep that stuff from getting away from the edge

Thanks man. Getting closer everyday! It's here because there's not any real active forums for (non Alpine/Tiger) Rootesmobiles and because I like this place
