Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
So how much of a pain was it to do the wood yourself?

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Thank you sir!
Thought you would like that! Thanks!! It was a pain but a great feeling of accomplishment!! Maybe a 7 on a 10 scale. Some difficult cuts with a saber saw and tons of measuring around the inner fenders was the worst part. It has a small gap where it would touch paint so hopefully I don't have a lot of sqweeky sounds..

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
This was the probably the hardest cut. I used a saber saw (on the ground) to make the cuts. First I cut out the complete area at 0* then I tilted the blade at a 45* and cut the ends. It worked out well with minimal sanding and filing. The four corner peices I cut the 45* then cut them to length so the main cut for fitment was 0* and much easier.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I got a little help from Christy and finally got the bed fitted and installed to make sure all was right.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
i bet the truck rides smoother and nicer, now that you got some more tire on the rim.

Thank you WW70! The rims had to grow on me but the wood bed was a hit as soon as I put the first peice of wood down!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Your truck turned out really nice. Original-71 told me about you so i spent some time reading from the beginning to the end. It looks like it was long road but worth it. The rallys look sick. I would love to see it in person one day.
