Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
...and here is the pinstriping I did on the ashtray...I don't smoke anymore, so the ashtray I use for old bolts, nuts, MAD magazine buttons, Impko decals, any other odds and ends laying around. Three attempts at the design on the ashtray using "1-Shot" and stripped with a "O" Mack. I was trying to keep to the western flourish idea, not so much a geometric west coast thing...more of a "Nudie suit" Texas thing. Vintage Impko water decal next to it. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Thank ya, Buttrock..! I love it. I wake up in the night sometimes and go lift the shade and look at it. I feel so fortunate to have gotten it (truck is only a few months old for me). I actually have a ledger the old timer who owned it kept that lists EVERY single repair and every single FUEL UP since 1967! Seriously. I'm continuing it of course, since I believe in the fact that none of us own these trucks...we're only taking care of it until the next person gets it (but if I have anything to say about it that will be a L O N G time from now)!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Thanks, Mayo. 95% close now to daily driver. Almost there. Having some lurching issues at high speeds only on occasions...fuel problem of some kind, but I'm honing in on it.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
I have been watching for several months now, and love all of the quality trucks and even better stories and people on here.
This is my 72, I inherited this from my father's uncle in 2001. Unfortunately it has sat untouched since then. He bought it used in 72. I believe it may have been either a demo or sales associates truck. It only has 92k original miles with the 402/400 and 4:11 gearing. I hope to get it cleaned up and running reliably as I'm about to turn this into my daily driver. I'll see about getting some more photos up when I can. Also, hoping to do a 4/6 drop on her, but scratching my head on how to achieve that height without losing the 8 lug axles and hubs. Any info would be greatly appreciated! I normally post in the 66 section but I saw this at work and thought you guys would like it. This is a 1968 C30 with a dump bed hauling an 2000ish Ford Escort.
