Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

WOW, a Lot of square body trucks here, many with that natural 'patina' I know so well.
I would have never found this part of this site if my buddy hadn't turned me on to it. I would not have guessed all this would be under 67-72 truck site!
Here are a couple of my dependents.
My 86 k30 big block silverado that was in reaching distance of paint at one time...4 years later I finally put a nice bed on to it (not in the pic)and there are rot holes in the 'new' inner fenders and pass door already, so now it has to be redone...again.
My 86 gmc 2500 that I have been working on while driving/ killing my k30 as it was last year and the gmc after paint this past month as well as a ton of other changes this past year including hydro brakes, 1 ton axles, rear disc, 205 case, cross steer, dual headlight fr end etc. The rest of the lift goes on as soon as I get the rest of the windows in so I can finally get it out of my garage and then the 38" TSL's and the bed goes on eventually.
My buddies 78 on the side line also has 1ton axles, sbc 465/205 high steer with re-centered hummer wheels and military tires (I dont have a good pic of it at the moment)
Great site guys!
-Kevin

The molding is upside down over the headlights. Its round on top and pointed at bottom. Someone just installed them wrong, otherwise its stock.

That cant be right. If you switched them left to right the headlights would be under the turn signals. I have been looking and have not found another grill just like this one. I'm confused!

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

AHHHH poop! I see what your saying. You mean the stainless trim has been switched left to right. WOW such a small change makes the entire grill look weird and Much cooler at the same time!

GMC's Confuse me I guess.

You don't see many "big 10's" Anymore. I've tried to keep this as stock as possible except for under the hood.

86silver, what lift and tires you running on that truck looks sweet. I am starting a build very shortly off of a 10 frame and would like the truck to sit just like that.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

We had a little car show at work today so I cleaned up the truck and brought it in. Its finally starting to clean up well after sitting for so long. Need to find some new trim pieces (wheel well, body, windshield/trim) and get some newer wheels and larger tires eventually.

Engine bay looks a TON better than it did just a couple months ago (this was the before picture):
