Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"
Hmm, well If I ever get bored, I"ll buy some grade 8 hardware and flip flop em, im all about better handling from these trucks..
Speaking of better handling.. You should get a 1 ton swaybar from 73-87 and mount it on your truck with new bushings, it helps ALOT!

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"
Thanks a lot,
It's feeling like progress. Here is an engine caddy I built. I seen it somewhere, Just can't remember where. It worked great as a mobile stand, If I make another one, I might put bigger wheels on it I thought some of you may be interested. Spike

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"
Well, After dry fitting the engine and transmission earlier this week.
I found that I needed to remove the manual transmission cross member, I wanted to leave it in if I could, For added strength. Found the correct hight for the automatic transmission cross member, Cut the tabs off of it, And welded some plate steel brackets onto it. It looks almost factory. Spike

I'm really wishin I didn't cheap out with my bolt ons, the finned aluminum looks sweet, one day I will upgrade, as for catching back up to you, you passed me before I had postponed mine, we'll see, if you keep doing such nice work I'll be too tempted to spend outta my budget and really drag this build out

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"
It's not a complicated as you would think.
As long as you document everything you take off. Including where the check valves are. I lay the clutches and rings out in order. Presoak the new ones, and re install. Spike
