Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
The Green Blazer that Hill's built has the front bumper narrowed and frenched into the fenders. I personally don't like the look overall. It is kind of distracting. But I might consider narrowing & welding my bumper to the fenders and smooth it all out. I think that would be cool.

I don't really care for them being frenched into the fenders, as much as just tucked close to the body.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I'll have to measure the wheelbase.
It is 14" shorter than a long bed crew cab. The long bed crew is 164.5", so my wheelbase should be @ 150.5"

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I finally got the seatbelt bolts out. I tried grinding and drilling them out, I broke 2 torx sockets, finally I was able to weld nuts to them and got them out. I should have turned to the welder first!!
Torx head seatbelt bolts are the DEVIL!!! I have big plans for this weekend though

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Thanks, I think my next truck project will be a swb crew or a double cab VW Transporter.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Just planning on spending some quality time with the crew!
I had the welded on nuts glowing bright orange while I was welding them. I put lots of heat into the bolts. I am pretty sure that helped get them un-siezed.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Before I wrecked my yukon I start pulling the rear seats so I could put in a full console front to rear. I had the same problem with the seatbelt bolts. I do like your fix.

I've had good luck heating up the threaded plate on the underside of the floor... if there is access to it of course.
