Re: hotrod-c10

That looks great! You won't have to worry about paint issues down the road that's for sure. Nice work...

That stock hood is too beautiful, therefore must be used.

Re: hotrod-c10

hey stealthy'69 , thanks ..to strip the paint off the hood + fenders i used clean strip pads that you can use on a drill or a angle grinder . that i got from home depot . i stated before that the ones for the grinder worked better . but after doing the hood ill say the ones for the grinder take it off faster but the ones for the drill take it off cleaner . thanks for checking it out..

Cool thanks for the info. I'll have to swing by and pick up a couple of those. By the way the stance is spot on by my eyes.

I like the factory hood too, but you could paint both and swap them occasionally.

Re: hotrod-c10

I'm going to vote for the factory hood also.

But like darkhorse said you could always paint both and then decide.

Re: hotrod-c10

I think I prefer the factory hood, but for your truck, the cowl goes with the attitude of the truck very nicely. Like others have said, you could always paint both and swap them out.

Re: hotrod-c10

i think it took about 3 or 4 hours on each fender and around 6 on the hood.i haven't cleaned the back sides , may have it all blasted . took several breaks . you could probably do it quicker if you wanted..

Re: hotrod-c10

This is another great project. I like the way you fixed the floor on the cab, I can relate to rust repair. I also like the paint strippers you are using. I may have to pick some of those up. It looks very clean. Subscribed..
