I will be watching. I have been following your 55 build for some time now. Great work on the the metal!

I got the accuair sensors on all four corners. The accuair kit is very nice. Just the packaging lets you know its quality. I cannot wait to get it working!!

Great build! You are building after my style, meant to be driven hard. This is what I built my truck for, I still have a long ways to go yet, things to be changed and adjusted but it will get there. You widened your rims just like I want to widen mine, everything is coming along nicely. You are goin to have one he'll of a ride when you are done. I am defiantly gonna watch this build.

Awesome build you have going Dillon! I finally got through the whole thing. You have some super fab and metal skills. Too bad you already cut your cab, I would have made you a great deal or swapped you for my shaved cab HERE. I just cut a crap load of rust our of my "new" cab to get one with a drip rail. Go figure.
I'm subscribing to this one for sure.

Nuke1,

Thanks! As soon as I’m finished I will post a video of a fat burn out.

mcbassin,

Why the change of mined to keep the drip rail? I have been watching your build 1969 Short Wide.

Dillon, I bought the shaved cab to replace my badly rusted original cab. It started out as a simple daily driver on a tight budget. Well I've always liked the double mouldings on the wide/fleet side. The shaved cab doesn't really go with that theme. My truck will look exactly like it would have in 69 with modern drivetrain, exhaust, and wheels.

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side

After a 4 day weekend i finished my frame. Finally I’m making some progress, it only needs to be blasted and paint. I’m going to paint it a dark gray with a grass clear. The frame it a lot more rigid. You can hear the different in the sound it make when you drop it on the ground! I boxed it in the front and rear where the chassis curves. Moved the front and rear shock mounts, added a plate in the rear to mount the compressor. I also filled 40 years of holes... fun, fun. I hope i never see a hole again!!

How do you guy like my chassis moving tool?

Frame is looking great!

I just went back through your thread and saw this post about widening your wheels. Was that done locally? If so, who did it for you? I might have to come visit and check out your truck one day, you're just down the road from where I work.

Smbrouss,

I could not find a local shop to do it. I had to send them to http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/ . They did a great job, it took about 4 week. Where u work? We could me up one day.

I also need to meet KEITH 71 STEP SIDE. He is also a local.
