Re: project bagged 63 c10

For the most part I have done 99.9% of the work seen here. My sister happened to stop by for some tools to pull her seats out of her jeep and caught me in action when I wasn't looking. Here I am slicing into my pancake!

Re: project bagged 63 c10

Was kinda sad just seeing my bed in the elements everything else has been stored indoors for the winter. So i Utilized my breaks yesterday and ripped the insides of my bed out.took like an hr total and only snapped 2 bolts l...was kinda impressed figured they would all snap....good old Arizona trucks!....luckily this is the worst part of the truck

And one of the old bench seat my dad made years ago. My dad does some top notch work in Tucson

Re: project bagged 63 c10

Haven't gotten a whole lot done lately.... Been moving garages! Convinced my landlord to let me switch garage bays( right side is a bit larger) welded up my trans crossmember and threw the motor and tranny in for a test fit and to determine where to drill the holes for the tranny crossmember. So while setting up the new garage and moving parts I threw the front end back together. And got a new to me used addition to the shop...

needed my own already! messing with flux core for now and will get a bottle down the road.

Great work, subscribed.
Couple questions:

The fleetside model kit, I have searched for one, no luck, who is the manufacturer, could you post a picture of the box?

Someone asked previously about the bolts holding the diff to the control arms. Is that just for mock up? Will you be using U bolts for final assembly? I would be nervous depending on those 50 year old welds to keep it all together back there.

Thanks man! Well to be honest I haven't gotten that far yet but will most likely end up having to go the Dino route and do a slight notch in the upper arm. And I took out 2 inches out of the front crossmember.

Haha yes I will be using u bolts for mounting the rear end to trailing arms. I am very impatient and had made my drop blocks and needed to keep this movable and wasnt successful locating any local
so this was the most convenient at the time.
