Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Yea it is a lot of work but when I got into it it was easier to replace entire panel instead of only patching a few areas. I think it looks harder then it is.
Not much progress today but I did manage to tack replacement panel in. |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Awesome progress! I fear I have a similar situation in the cowl area to tend to once I finish the rolling chassis.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Yea the truth is I got tired of walking around the frame and banging my leg on the home made hitch. So i thought since I am not going to use that part of the frame might as well get it out of the way. I am going to run a stock size short bed.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
I figured it was probably a joke because I remember you buying a donor frame I thought.

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
You could put a 'T' bucket bed on it (with Chevy for logo, of course).
http://californiacustomroadsters.com/bod.html Or just put a trunk box back there and call it done. |

Re: Brave or crazy? crewcab build
Cool project! I love my 'burb but having the ability to tow a fifth wheel and have two rows of seats is pretty sweet. Nice work on the roof. My only knock with crewcab builds is when people dont get the roof or rear door right and ruin a nice sub. You have done an excellent job of getting both right. Keep up the good work.
