whatever fits! lol
when I bagged my first truck we literally went through the catalog checking compressed vs extended lengths to see what would work.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 60-66

somehow we reused stock on a '62 we built a few years ago. on my '99 I just made something work (browsing catalog to find something that would fit the full lift, 8 or 9 inches I think) in the rear and never bothered with the front. once I put shocks on the back it rode so well I didn't bother. even without shocks in the front I thought it rode better bagged than it did static dropped.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 60-66

Got it figured out! Shocks are on the way now from O'Reilly's. They are shorter than stock for the rear. I'm mounting my lower shock to the rear end, you did yours to the control arms. As far as the front goes I'm going to use the stock shocks but move the upper mount to the top of the frame, and bolt the lower shock point to the outside of the stock shock mount location (i'm going to reinforce to lower mount) to give me clearnce from the brake line mount. It hits it when aired out. I'll post pis soon. Hoping to have the rear done tonight!

Re: How about some pics of bagged 60-66

i just noticed i never really took any good pics of how my rear shocks are mounted but here is one pic

if you bought shorter shocks than factory and you plan on mounting them to the rear end i believe they are gonna limit ur upward movement.. i think my truck has like 13 or 14 inches of travel at the rear end... way more than the trucks with the bags mounted at the rear end

What did or are you going to do about your trailing arms hitting the frame ahead of your bags when laying out? I like the bags mounted where they are. Should allow for less air needed to get to ride height and make it ride better.

What size wheels are you going to be using? The trailing arms must be below the scrub line with 15" wheels.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 60-66

I would greatly appreciate it if some of you that Z'd your frame could take a picture of how you mounted your radiators, that would help me out a bunch! I'm trying to figure out how to make my radiator fit but I'm afraid to do anything because I don't have the motor or Trans in and its been so long since I took it out I can't remember where everything goes. I've lowered the front horns just in front of the radiator support but now the radiator is way too high to close the hood. I've searched like crazy and either people are putting custom radiators in or they did something different that I'm doing. Either way I'd really appreciate some help. Thank you

Re: How about some pics of bagged 60-66

i found that the radiator in my '62 did not fit the horns on my '68 frame, the frame seemed to be about 1/2" too narrow. I was going to just notch the frame a tad so the radiator would sink into the horns, could you do that? In the end, I did nothing. the radiator sits high, but the hood closes...

I also thought about that but I wasn't sure if doing that would cause problems with the power steering.

Do you have any pictures of how you did the floor in your bed? I'm just about to do that part on mine and it looks like you have almost the same setup as me
