I spend time in "the Mac "..northern Alberta....until then i was unaware that at minus 45 you can take a glass of warm water out side.....toss the water into the air as far as you can.....and it freezes before it hits the ground....

SCOTI..
"I don't care who you are..... that's just plain funny right there! Those skinny fronts can/will cause more that one tense moment during a moderate stop or quick (un-expected) turn/lane change. The extreme width rear tire mixed w/fresh drizzle on the road is the fastest thing known to pucker the arse on a grown man ."

I gave up on the skinny fronts with my 69 Z the day I was on the freeway and some dude cut me off.....it was a life altering expierence...lol..." tho shalt not have skinny front tires any thing anymore "...But i have yet to learn about having extreme rear tires...because it just looks so fricken cool...lol oh and here in canada we use the term " nearly shard my pants " but it means that same thing

Dino..
Well the good news for us in the winter we don't have to use the fridge to keep the beer cold....the bad news is we still have to use it to keep the beer warm so it doesn't freeze....lol..So Dude no new pictures of the project ? I am using you as a pace setter...everytime i see you have done a bunch of work I try to catch up......lol..

Re: my first c10 custom

I guess that is why most Americans think that we all live in igloos up here
well they don't have those kind of conditions on the lower mainland or over here on the island. i haven't seen that kind of weather since 74 when I had to go across the lake by boat and start up a truck and it was 53 below F
I did live up north for 23 years

Re: my first c10 custom

I don't miss the heat but I sure miss the fun Watching your activity and others on this board with all the kool stuff your building makes me super homesick. I used to drive by your shop on Indian School all the time when I worked for Cox but never knew that was you're place. Didn't really interact on the board until I moved out here to AR.

BBQ sounds like a kick a** good idea and lot's of fun. Wish I could make it.

They say you can never go home but I think I'll give it a shot one day.

It's slow going when you have to handle your tools with oven mitts I've worked many day's in that 115+ heat and it does suck. Good thing is that it cools off to 110 at night

Enjoy a cold brew for me Dino, I live in a dry county

I had the same problem. I got cheap cat litter boxes from the store to use as tool trays for each job. While I'm working, I just slide the trays under the truck to keep them 'out of the oven'.

Re: my first c10 custom

Nice choice with the steamroller This was always my dream as a young lad in the late 80's. I had a nice 64 shorty that I have always kicked myself for getting rid of My question is will this be considered the "new" old skool?
