Beautiful truck. I have 5 of the same narrow steelies out by the shed. Waiting on my 8' to get back from the shop. Looks like I have a plan for the narrows now. Thanks for sharing.

Re: 15 inch tire and wheel combos only

Would be nice to see more finished pics of that one. Several years ago I almost bought a '68 stepside in that color. To this day I kick myself for passing on it.

By the way, what width wheels are you running?

Re: 15 inch tire and wheel combos only

Funny, I have a lot of progress photos but very few now that it's back on the road. I'll see what I can find & post. Went back with dark olive poly single stage paint. Kept the truck stock with a few upgrades from a donor I purchased.

Wheels are the original 5.5" wide, three nub steelies I had powder coated.

Not a very good pic. I have weld drag lites. I cant afford the big wheels. There are only a few I like. So I stick with the old school look.

Beautiful ride, and I agree I love the old school wheels.

That truck is pretty close to perfect in my book. Very nice!

What rim size did you go with?

Were there clearance issues?

just a little...maybe in a curve with a dip going too fast....that kind of thing...but that was with the TTOs that were 15x8.5 with 3.8 backspacing....I dont remember having a problem with the truck rallys...

I like that look a lot. Clean, crisp, muscle.

Re: 15 inch tire and wheel combos only

Was checking out this thread again to see what people were using with 15x8 inch rims with the same size tires on all four corners

TTT for those that want to add to the thread or maybe missed it.

While its not a 67-72, this style of truck has grown on me over the years of seeing them pop up on the board. Nice color combo.

Stock springs, P01 hubcaps with old school BFG Radial T/A's. Really like the clean look of these hubcaps, I have seen guys on this site with the trucks lowered with these and they look great.

I've always enjoyed those trucks. I wish I had one!
