tonight i have been playing with the stealt latch kit
got them installed , and then figured it need some guards to protect the paint when the lock pin would hit the bed. |

made an upgrade to the stealth latch kit
got rid of the ugly red plastic knobs and made new one's from stainless steel put in ss allen button head screws also been working on the check link straps made a few hole's and grinding and grinding to get a smooth surface ready for polishing one side almost done |

Ok, thats really cool. great idea, i have always been worried someone would shut my tailgate, not pull the knobs, damage the bed and that is a great solution.

I like the SS knobs. I wanted to do the same for mine but I have not found/made a replacement yet. My knobs are black plastic so it is not too bad.
