i like the booster location, but i'm wondering what kind of rod your going to use since the length may allow bowing of the rod during a panic stop. a heaver rod may effect the wear on the master cyl since it will be pushing down as you hit bumps and freeway vibrations... but yes it's easy to work on with the bed tilt. some of the guys are going with remote reservoir on the MC. Mount the reservoir where you can get to it and plum the oil to the mc....

I thought about using a remote reservoir but went with this because of the tilt bed. I'm going to use 3/4"x1/2" DOM to conect the pedal to the master.
It looks like it will be about 36" long. If that's not stiff enough I'll just go to the next size up.

Instead of heavier rod - how bout figuring out a bushing / brace in the center to support it, kinda like the support they use for multi-u-joint steering shafts. And watching your build I know you are good at the "figuring out" part.

Also, I guess it would need some type shield or something to keep trash off the rod.

I was thinking of some kind of support at one time. The problem I see with that is the rod would need to slide back and forth through it. I would worry about it binding over time.
The DOM isn't real heavy in the shorter lenghts.

this truck is nice theres just one problem, ITS NOT MINE

but no it looks good i like all the fab work that is done to the bed and frame and suspension, keep the pics comin and keep up the good work

It's a stock unit out of an 05 truck. I still have to figure out all the plumbing on it but that should'nt be to hard.

I placed it there for ease of maintenance. With the tilt bed it'll be easy to get to and solves the problem of a remote reservoir.

Very nice truck 1Bad62.
Here're some pics of what I did. I built the frame out of 1x2 stock. I plan on using linear actuaters to lift the bed as the one I made isn't that heavy.

Hmmm, Don't know how your bed is finished inside ? But, don't see why you couldn't add a bracket/something to the top of your frame rail to support a pivot point to clear your fuel cell ?

I feel for ya, I lost my mom to alzheimers a year ago. Sorry to hear it man that's rough.

My mom past away December 26 of last year from it also. It's tough to see loved ones go through that disease.
My wife is an only child and it's been real tough on her.

I like the brake setup you have going! If you're worried about the DOM rod your using, you could go find a race car fab guy and snag some thin wall chromoly. It's way light and very strong! Victory Race Cars is up here by me and I've bought some from him before. Just a thought...

Just a small update on what I've been able to get done.
Spent some time cleaning up the frame and getting the hydroboost and pedal mounted. Ended up using some 3/4x1/2 DOM for the conecting rod. It's a straight shot so I don't foresee any problems with it flexing. This puts the reservoir behind the cab so maintanence should be easy with the tilt bed.
