Yeah, Vista Cruisers had that same affect on me when I was younger
I have no problem with 44-50 year old ladies these days. They seem sorta young to me now for some reason Look at that cute little car

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
I always thought that those Nash Metropolitans were cool. There was a guy a couple blocks away who had one with some sort of replacement chassis and a Corvette engine. It had a straight axle up front and turned low 13s in the quarter, back in the '60s. He was also the father of at least one of the children of that sweet little corn-fed girl he dated. She missed both junior and senior years of high school as a result of those pregnancies. In those days the girls got sent to some home for unwed mothers, or something.

I hope this hasn't already been posted. I'm too lazy to go through eight pages to find out.

Both. But I would have gladly picked the hot blonde mom.
When I was young I always went for older women. Now that would mean that they would have to be in their 80's. Eh. It's not working like it used to anymore. It was better when I was 25 and they were 35

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
I can't recall what Olds called those. Looks like it says Fiesta on the side, but that was a model name like Belair. Those are really rare compared to Nomads and Pontiac Safaris. I'm not sure that Buick did a version. But the Olds and Buick wagons were outta sight with their coupe roofline blended in

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
The Olds is indeed a Fiesta. The Buick is a Caballero. Great looking cars.
Maybe not everyone appreciated them.

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
A couple cool customs. When I first caught a glimpse of that '59 roofline scrolling down I thought it was a '59 Chevy with a '60 Ford station wagon top.

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
When I was a kid in the '60s I looked a Tempest/Lemans station wagons and realized one could be made into a GTO wagon with simple parts swapping. I thought that would be so cool and wanted to do it some day. Never saw it done until I got on the internet, and now there are so many it ain't even funny

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
How about a 442 Vista Cruiser? It doesn't have to be a GTO to be a cool Tempest Wagon

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
There was one of these sitting by my house. It had been sitting a long time (4 flat tires) A 1966 Country Squire 7 Litre wagon. I really wanted to stop and see if it was for sale. But I was paying tuition for my kids and had just bought a fairly expensive house. So that was a no go.
Then one day I saw it being hauled away...On the back of a Pick A Part wrecker. They junked it.

Re: Pic Thread: Station Wagons
Country Squire, a sexy wagon. Something about wood (looking) panels on the side of a wagon gives it a huge dose of class, agree?

Custom built for the land yacht crowd? I think of Fleetside Paul for some reason.
A big more life in this one. Sporty! Eh, I dunno Fleetside Paul again (maybe on #2 too)
