Should be back on the road in a few months. I did get some gauges ordered today so hopefully they'll be in soon and give me some motivation to find the time to finish it

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

I still need to calibrate the speedometer and clear the check engine code but the gauges are pretty much done

Had to get a idea what the new wheels would look like also

Gauges look sweet and so do the new wheels, what is the backspacing on the rears.

Oh man that Dakota Digital VHX cluster looks wicked!
I dig the wheel choice too, I can't wait to see the truck with them installed, I foresee a mini-tub in your future.

Thanks. No problem. I'll let you guys know when I'm ready for some seat belts. Sarah was quick answering all my questions and very helpful.

Thanks for checking it out. I'm hoping to have it back on the road soon. Then I'll enjoy it for a while before any more upgrades.

Thanks man. Your truck is coming along great. I can't wait to see that beast in red. The rears are 7" backspacing. Should work great on my stock narrow rear end. I wish I could've narrowed the rear and put a huge lip out back but I need to put that money into other things.

Thank you sir. Give me a call if you need any help (which i doubt you will) when you're ready to do your gauges. The wheels were budget friendly and should do well for a daily driver. Tommy hooked me up for sure. I picked some spare tubs up from another member so it should make things a bit easier on the mini tub.

Killer looking setup. What size tire you going to run on the rear? 325/335?

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Thanks. I'll probably go with a 315/35r20 since that size has a better selection and isn't nearly as pricey.

Good call, you can even get the Toyo St II in that size and they are decently priced.

Right now I'm leaning towards the nitto motivo or nt05. Most likely the motivo since I don't want too aggressive of a tire so it will be easier on the drivetrain parts

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Did some test fitting on the new wheels today

Cut the bed so I can start doing the mini tubs next month when I'm home again

Also put new springs in the front to avoid some clearance issues (too low lol)

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Tommy, would these wheels in 20 x 12 with 7" backspace be basically the same wheel as a 20 x 10" with 5" BS ( except the additional 2" wheel and tire on the inside ) ?
