Re: The Project Havoc....

that looks absolutly awsome. did you ever paint the bed after you did the short box mod? and did you paint your inner fenders the same color yet? itll be kinda funny to see "patches", funky on the outside till you pop the hood looks awsome cant wait to see it all back together and see the fruits of your labor almost complete. are you just going to paint after summer or do you have even more mods planned?

Re: The Project Havoc....

James, as i have said awesome work on the truck. Can you share your weld dressing technique as your welds are seamless after you dress them, I know for sure your welds are 100 times better than mine, but i would like to learn from a professional as to what tools, grit pad, etc is used to dress the welds , if your willing to share.

Thanks

Heath

Thanks alot, i have not gotten around to doing the box yet, soon i will, after the truck is running. have that to worry about first., and i agree, ppl will be in shock when they realize what the truck is all about., I love it.

Heath, i will do that for you, give me a bit and i will go right from welding to dressing the welds. it may be used as a FAQ. we will see. i will try to do it this weekend for you. sound good. And to be honest, in my eyes, i am not a professional, just another guy doin what he loves. I may do it for a living, but it is still a hobby for me. The politics at work just get in the way some days. oh well. But i do appreciate that as a compliment, it is nice to hear that somedays, very humbling. THANK YOU!!

Sorry, but i did not have time to get it done this wekend. but i will get to it very soon. K.

Well i spent most of the weekend out in the shop. I got 90% of the brake lines done on the truck. Ran my crappy rubber fuel line that is gonna be temporary, till later. Made a bracket for my fuel pressure regulator, got the rad mounted with my homemade speacial brackets, wowzers, eh. As i was mountint the rad, i soon realized that my rad support is bent, it will do for now, but i am gonna look for a new one now. go figure. I also got my power steering pump and hoses put on. the pressure hose is nice, but i had to do a funky adapter on the return line by the pump, but you barely see it. Spent quite awhile and got all of the pulleys lined up, except the water pump, need a shim, which is on order and i also got the headers finally bolted on for good. no more taking them off. I think that is what i got done, enuf rambling for now. Talk to you later.

Re: The Project Havoc....

Hey guys, it has been a busy couple of weeks, could not believe the last things i have got done on here. I have more progress since my last update. There is definelty some changes now. she ooks like a truck for the most part. I have to wire her, install the front windsheild, hood, right fender, finish up the rear brake lines yet and the fuel system. not too bad. getting there that is for sure. hop to have it done in three weeks. running. I hope. I really tried to have the box done yesterday so i could put her in the car show, but that did not happen, got it done at 1 today, so loaded her back on the trailer and drove out to pike lake for the car show, parked in the parking lot and walked around. I was very disappointed, oh well.she is not much too look at but here are some pics.

Re: The Project Havoc....

I'm diggin this truck, big time. I especially love the color....it was one of the front runners for my truck when the time comes. I'm not so sure now.....Saskatchewan isn't big enough for two trucks of the same color, lol.

Speaking of which, I haven't been to many shows in the last few years, but providing I haven't missed out on any sweet new rides, I am pretty sure you are going to have the sweetest 67-72 in the province. Hopefully sometime in the future when your truck is done we will cross paths so I can see this thing in person.

Nice truck!
I'm sure there was a small crowd in the parking lot of that show thinking this truck going to be sweet when it's finished. I know that's what I would have said.

You can use the color also, but you better move elsewhere in the country cause i want to be the only onem LOL. I am not trying to toot my own horn, but that was my hope for my truck, to be one of the nicest around, I hope. We will catch up in the future i am sure.

I'm sure there was a small crowd in the parking lot of that show thinking this truck going to be sweet when it's finished. I know that's what I would have said.
I agree with you, because that is what i was saying to myself.
