are you going to use the fly by wire? we just wired up a 07 5.3 for a rail buggy and got the harness for the pedal from speartech. worked out perfect

Hey 68SS, What intake kit are you using with these gen4 engines and are you using the original MAF sensor to the engine???

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
i like to use the intake and air filter for a 00-02 denali/tahoe (aftermarket one)... and yes i keep the stock MAF and front O2s.... im not a huge speed density fan, especially for these GEN 3/4 engines

Do you have a pic of the 6.2L intake setup yet?? Is there any mods to make the intakes fit?
Thanx. |

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
how does it work with the ride height sensors? Does it try to adjust for body roll while going around a corner?

some progress, got the tranny lines mocked-up, on the 6l80e they come out of the driver side (unlike the 4l60e)...they are routed tightly under the tranny and then terminate into a AN tube adaptor....from there its just a few 90* and streight fittings, with bradided -6 line........ also doing the wiring, GM keeps switching PCM pins on me, so for all doing a swap 05-06 E38 computers are adiffrent from 07-08 38 computers... (computers are the same, just the pins that connect the wires to the PCM are diffrent) so i got some 07 E38 PCM pins comming... here is the orginized mess and a sneek peak at this Last edited by 68 short step; 06-12-2008 at 08:44 PM. |

68 short step what are the wire in this picture covered in? they look clean wrapped in this braiding, are the rest of the wires in your truck going to be covered in the material? Keep up the great work.

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
Are you using the 2000 f-body pacesetter headers on this one too. Where do you get them. I also tried a previously posted link for the intake that you used aswell and it didn't work so if you can share that aswell that would be great.
Looking good.. Watching and learning... |

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
with this tranny being so much bigger, and the mount being 2.5" higher up then the 4l60e.... i was afraid it would interfer with the trans tunnel, so after a few measurements, i desided it would interfer....so i put the cab back on the frame (with the help of the wife) to see where and how bad it was interfering......after we got it on i had her look to see where it was touching and i marked it from inside.....so i cut the hump out, and set the cab completly down.....and with the engine moved back as it is on this truck, it sits close to the firewall, but fits the contores of the firewall like a glove......it looks awsome sitting up on the firewall, they couldn't of done a better design back in 71 to make a new engine fit so good.....
here are some pics |

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
Why didn't you use the "LH8" oil pan? I think you mentioned it before. Do you have the dimensions? I was looking at this one on ebay, but not sure if it will work.
