Re: 1940 "project moonshine"

Love the truck! I always get the "When are you going to paint it?" or "Are you really finished with it?!?" Questions.

Your 40 looks fantastic just they way it is... I think if someone needs to paint something it would be the frame showing on your dually...

Re: 1940 "project moonshine"

Chizzler,

Is there anyway you could post pictures of the hood latches that are attached to the fire wall. My truck does not have any and I am wondering if there is a way to fabricate one or if you know of a place that sales them aftermarket? Thank you for your help.

Wow !! I'm currently welding up my 46 ifs bag system. You said you raised the fenders 3 1/2 inches how did you do that and keep running boards all aligned and stuff? Not sure what size tires I'll be running I believe they are are 26" tall

Im pretty sue we used a steel steering joint that converted it from round bar to 3/4 DD and welded it on the column.

So your front and rear bumpers are from a 50s truck did you use the 40s brackets or 50s brackets to mount it. The 50s are defiantly cheaper then the 40s bumper so looking to do that Haha
