Can't be moving slower than mine. I think you should start one. It's great for input and advice from others.

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.

So in this last week and a half I put the motor in and also put the cab on. Gas tank is also in the cab of the truck. I Got the power steering box in and the steering column is all hooked up. I couldn't have asked for a better fit. I didn't have to adjust anything. So now I am working on putting on the front end. Although I wonder if it is a little premature. I still have a little work to do on the drivers front fender. I also need a new bolt kit for the fenders as I am missing almost all of the the clips from the inner fender because a lot of them had to be cut off to remove them. So now I have to get some more. I also painted the front lower valance or whatever it is. It is shiny black making the rest of the parts look kinda bad. Although I don't think I will worry about it. I will just be happy to get it on the road at this point. Enjoy the pics. I like to hear input so please comment.

P.S. I also forgot to mention that I have the doors on also. So I will put photos that are more updated soon.

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.

So I can't believe its been so long since I have posted. Well I recently went to the junkyard about a week ago. I was looking for some parts for my other truck, but I thought I would look at what bed sides they had that I could snag a piece off of because of all the body filler and dent issues that I found on my front drivers side bed. To tell you the truth I have been avoiding the situation all together. I found a piece that was pretty straight but had a hole for a fuel door. Not the most ideal but seemed that I could work with it. So 75 bucks later I had a large piece of bed side that I trimmed down this morning. I then started fitting it to my bedside. And well eventually I got it on there. I thought it was a great accomplishment for a Saturday. I ended up just leaving the metal from my bedside and filling in the fuel door with that as you can see in the photos. Anyway I think it looks pretty good but I know it will still need a little filler. Honestly I am really impressed with my self for a job I have been avoiding. Well let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Funny that piece was off a long bed too. I still have some work to do on it though. I have to cut off the corner on the 67 bed and weld it on the new panel because the new one is rounded. The 67 is angular.

Thanks! yeah I've been doing a little work lately.

So yeah, I suck at updating things. I just have no time lately. I still work on my truck a little at a time at the expense of other things in my life.

A few things have changed. I am going ahead and doing the body work on the cab because I figure that my time is free. Body panels are relatively cheap in comparison to other parts. So if i'm not going to get it going soon then I am going to keep going on something that I can do. So I have floor panels and I have new rockers and I find that I am going to have to get some more small panels after looking a little closer and taking off the old rockers. So here are some photos. they are not much but better than nothing.

I have been stripping down my cab lately, that's what the photos are and that just a new rocker sitting on it. I need to do a lot more work than that.

Well I really don't have any updates. I have been busy growing my other collection so all my money has gone to other things lately. Haven't been able to get back to the project but the truck is changing a little in my goals anyway. I'm looking at getting a 6 liter to put in it. I'm thinking that it will be an almost 500 horse power. Anyway I will post again. Thanks for checking on me though. Right now I am recovering from a double hernia surgery so i don't think allot will be done anytime soon.

Thanks

Re: 67 C20 LB Conversion to C10 SB Fleet.

Im thinking of doing this to mine soon and have some ?'s how big is the air space between the outer and inner bed side? how did you lay out to get your lines the same inside and outside? the job your doing looks really good and will probably inspire me to take mine on.
