Dude, leave the vent! It's great cruising around with it! Move the drain through the inside and out so it doesn't show and keep the vent!

Be sure and start a build with lots of pics. Others will definitely want to see it.

Hood is Back!

I got my hood back a couple days ago. The seam is invisible.

I'm going to test fit the bed then drop if off for paint later this week.

paint looks very good

i used trex plastic deck from home depot, should last a while
it's only available in 5.25'' width so plan accoringly.
i had to add 1 strip and ''board'', it cuts easy too

I've seen that at Lowe's and wondered if anyone had tried that. Looks great. I may just get a piece of diamond plate steel for the bed floor.

Thanks. I'm glad to see you're tearing back into yours. The winter took it out of me. I'd like to be done by the end of the summer. Ha, we'll see.

Me too, it is hard to stay motivated. I may have an update on a complete drivetrain in the next month or so. I am just waiting on decisions to be made. I am not sure when mine will be driveable.

Thanks, I just dropped off the bed sides, front, and tailgate.

I welded in the cap covers that Mar-K gave me with the bed sides. I also welded in the side rails to bolt the floor to.

I'm going to have quite a bit of slide room if it needs adjustment forward or backward.

What mounts r those. i know the lower frame mounts are the ez kits mounts have the same ez kit but am using a motor and trans from a 99 truck?

Re: Be Gentle. . . I'm an Amateur.
I finally got around to mounting up the Sanderson Headers that my cousin had originally bought for the engine. Funny thing, they don't need gaskets. I had already bought some and had to take them back and get some Permatex silcone gasket sealant.

[IMG][/IMG]

It took me forever to hillbilly the transmission bellhousing up to the engine. I ended up having to call a friend over.

[IMG][/IMG]

It also took about two hours to mount the engine. It seems like nothing I do is very fast.

[IMG][/IMG]

I'm not real wild about using a big washer/spacer between my motor mounts. I think my dad is going to come over and try to help me think of a better option.[/

One more Q.. what headers are those?

The mounts from the motor are LS plates to SBC mounts (I believe they were Trans Dapt brand). Then, like you mentioned, the S10 Frame to SBC mounts from EZ.

Re: Be Gentle. . . I'm an Amateur.

Found the motor mounts at napa. Cross referenced the part number with Oriellys and got them half price like6$ each. Then ordered the adapter plates from jegs for 39.99 shipped.. So all in all not to bad. The reason the kit is made that way is so that you can have more adjustment with the motor as needed and just shim the bolt accordingly to were your need the motor to set...
Thank you very much for the info. I found these headers at jegs today. Think i will order them. They should work.

Re: Be Gentle. . . I'm an Amateur.

I don't want to use the original space for the radio. Should I weld it in or get a delete plate?

I saw someone who had hinges on their delete plate with their air ride gauges behind it. It was somewhere on this site, but I can't seem to find it.

Any other good ideas?
