Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Couple of shots showing the headlight wiring. All of these terminations have to be made. I bought the correct crimpers and it made very easy work of it.

Took 3 trips to the parts store to finally get the correct length belts.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Not really related at all but i got in this sweet 78 c20 Bonanza in at work to make it run better. I dont remember ever seeing the bonanza name. Lots of options on this one, they had to use 2 stickers on the glove box to print them all.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Great progress! DD gauges look really good...put them in my 56 Chevy and really like them too. The crimper is really handy and apparently I haven't mastered mine yet as I had a hose let go at the crimp.

Wagon is looking awesome!

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

I fired up my engine and broken in the cam this weekend. I have a video but dont know how to post it here.

I finished up the engine and front light wiring, wrapped the harness with factory style wrap and used factory style mounts.

Yea. I hope I don't have the issues you are having. I am guessing they cut that hole to get access to the carrier bearing? After the car is done I may weld a plate over it.

That's just crazy. Pulling these driveshafts isn't that hard. lol I would weld it up. These frames aren't that great to begin with lol

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Just went through the whole thread and man you got me itching to work on my 67 wagon. I'm very curious to see your bag setup in action. There's a 60 sedan delivery in my hood that is just crying for a similar setup but the guy won't part with it.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

I have 3 1960 Chevy sedan deliveries. One is a daily driver the other two are not running. Fun to drive and 60s seem to get a lot of attention!

Oh how I miss my 60. Had big plans for it but with 6 other cars at the time I have to thin the herd down. 60 is my favorite year, great lines.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Have not taken many pics recently but there has been a lot of progress. I got the car driving and on the road last week, i did an alignment and calibrated the speedo. Drove the car about 100 miles so far. I am loving it. Dropped it off sunday at the upholstry shop! Cant wait to see what they do, i am like a little kid waiting on christmas. Here is where the car is now www.sewntight.com Oh and we got a pile of snow a couple of weeks ago, but now its all gone and 65 degrees now.

Re: 1960 chevy parkwood wagon!

Did you put a slip yoke in the rear driveshaft?
Those billet carrier bearings don't have much flex to them like the stock version does.

Yes I used the cpp rear slip shaft. There is a pic of it a page or 2 back.

I pick it up from the upholstery shop tomorrow and can't wait!

A couple shots of it laid out in my drive way, and a shot of the cluster driving down the road. Loving it.
