Grizz: You can kinda see in this picture that I followed the body line right around. I then laid tape from the body line on the door, right around to the edge (corner) of the "A-pillar" sheet metal. Right where the cowl piece starts. I thought it looked clean when finished. Ill see if I can post a picture later of a close up for you.

Re: two tone paint picture thread

Thanks Jonzcustomshop, those are great.

It is good to know where they factory line was drawn, sometimes 1/2" up or down can completely change a look for better or worse.
It's like the back of the cab and front of the load body lines being followed through to deeper than just the corners.

Re: two tone paint picture thread

My 65, painted 12-14 years ago inside and out, a 1957 Chevy larkspur blue. It has actually held up fairly well, except for the dreaded lower front fenders.

Do you get a lot of glare off of the white dash board?

Re: two tone paint picture thread

It's a PhotoShop job of my recently picked up '61 Apache, testing out ideas. This represents a white/light grey and dark grey with red accent line and roof. The red accents would make their way around the front and rear, maybe the grill and headlights?
Thoughts and advice welcome.
(new to forum, if this isn't the right spot for this let me know, thanks)

Re: two tone paint picture thread

that roof yeah, but i'm a fan bigger of the two tone line on the next profile up. I think it gives more weight to bottom half and balances, visually, nicer. For me at least.

I noticed all these two tone trucks have a white roof; are there any other variations?

And, are the door jambs matching the truck?

I see they have the body side door jams separate colors at the seal area - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...am#post7524974
and
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...int+seperation
Finding a pic of the door side is a bit harder though.
