Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)

I guess I'll join in here with mine... I noticed a lot of 70's and a couple 60's era trucks but nothing in the 80's which is my favorite body style Here ya go... she aint pretty but she's a work truck and for $450 we aint gonna complain.

I've already posted this pic of it before but right now it's the only one I got.

I would love for someone to photoshop my truck... just DO NOT lower it. I never could figure out why anyone would want to lower a pickup. JMHO though. (plz don't flame me for that)

Here's my 70 LWB. I've got my one-piece window kit, Blaupunkt stereo, rebuilt white gauge cluster, and kickpanels all in the garage and ready to install, but I'm to the point where I want to pull apart the interior and sand it, cover with sound deadening, and get it painted the final color, but I'm having trouble making the call on the final color. My thought has alway been flat black and rat rod this thing out, but I'm having second thoughts....I'll post pics when it's decided and the interior is painted. Until then, enjoy...

Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)

Jwill,

It definitely needs body work and subsequent paint. This truck is a 10-footer if there ever was one. Bed and drip rails are rusted pretty good and doors and sills have some rust as well. By the time I do all that and shave the original gas filler, it will need paint. Plus that color from the PO is 1984 Toyota Sienna Beige, so not exactly an emotional attachment to 'original'. But thanks for the comments...I'll keep everyone updated on my decision.

1972 Chevy Cheyenne: 97,000 original miles. I bought this from the original owner. It cost 4,100 new in 1972. It has ps,pb, and factory A/C. Runs like a dream. Tony

My whole build is at the Jumpin Jimmy link below. 1972 GMC money pit. But we love it and can't wait to get her on the road. Looks like she will finish up in the next 2 or 3 months.
