Re: WTB magazine ad

hey tys toys... that photbucket link came up dead, and it's just the dreaded red X on here.
However, I suspect this is the photo you were trying to post;

If so, yes, it was real, no one knows where it went, but odds are GM crushed it...that's what they did/do with most one off vehicles.

Re: WTB magazine ad

If it was that simple I'd have one by now. Seriously, I check Ebay daily as well as bumping up this thread once a week. Between the two I'm sure it's going to turn up again sooner or later. In the mean time stay tuned to this thread for updates!

Re: WTB magazine ad

I just spent the last couple of hours going through magazines while watching the Hawks game. Most of the ones I looked through I knew were going to be too old, but they are fun to look at. I do have a bunch of Outdoor LIfe magazines from that period, none had your ad. I will say the size of the magazine and the quality of the printed ads match what you are looking for. Maybe an Outdoor Life will have it.

Re: WTB magazine ad

Close, but no dog biscuit. Those are the old originals and not Challengers.Sorry so negative, but two closes don`t make a near. How`bout the "pop-top" beer in that picture?Gotta love these old ads. That`s a sexy wheel`n`tire combo with those Indy Profiles and Medallions.Cool Mickey Thompson lettering, classy.
I can`t believe the ad hasn`t turned up for you.I think now that this WTB has guys looking they are finding them and hoarding them to drive up the price.1969k10stepside has plans to reproduce it.Longhornman went to Washington and bought all there where between there and Columbus...One thing for sure, when you find this it will be front page news and I nominate this thread for thread of the year.`m sure you`d rather have posted a request and the first response be,"I have some nice ones I`d sell ya".But,at least the thread should be famous for all the effort.I hoipe you find it for a nice Christmas present to yourself.Like I said,If I find it it`s yours...free.

Re: WTB magazine ad

Tim, You're to kind! I knew the wheels weren't Challengers but they're awful close though. I actually went back through this entire thread last night reading all the responses and checking out the pics. I've scanned enough old ads to be able to post at least one a week for the next year (if it comes to that) when I give this thread it's weekly bump. It's a shame most people probably don't check em out. I'm going to try to keep this thread going until the ad turns up or until the number of views equals the number of members on the board. Until then I'll see if Big Daddy can help us out any!

Re: WTB magazine ad

Love those wheels, man. And all the ads. This thread will need to become a sticky for old ads,to much to be lost here. It`s gone beyond a WTB.Anyone who skips over this is missing out.I`ve laughed alot and even cryed from the sorrow I feel over your plight(yeah right)
I gave this ad to Longhornman because he said something about these cool little trucks(I did have two).I`d like to find a real one.Just imagine...

I thought about seeing if Liz would set up a section for ads in the gallery. Of course I wouldn't want to post anything there that I hadn't already used here.

Re: WTB magazine ad

Had a rounder L600 skid loader like that one.. Anyway sorry i don't want to read the full post but has anyone looked thru life magazines? I have about id guess 200 to 400 in that era, got from an uncle in his attic last winter. Lots of neat ads but I never looked for anything specific. It's cold here now and my arm's fd up so flippin pages for x-mas might not be to bad. But if some has looked thru life mags ads please let me know.
Thanx
Jacob

Re: WTB magazine ad

That's a cool pic with the bobact in the pickup (and welcome to the board friend!). I really don't know if anyone has searched Life magazine. I thumbed through some at an antique mall (wrong years) I didn't really see any truck ads. Of course......who knows. Sometimes this hunt just makes me want to clear my head.....
