Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I started digging into the front suspension to see what the heck I'm going to do to slam this thing!?! But first I had to fit up my 15x8 steelies to see if its going to have the clearance i need before i order up a disc brake and drop spindle kit! Then I took out the springs and dropped it onto the bump stops to see how it's going to look but obviously thats just not low enough!!! Im thinking its time to put the frame aside for awhile until i decide what I'm going to do with it. (last pic is the front wheels)

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I finally started on the box! I will start off with a few pics from this winter where it sat and i scraped out all the rust and $hit so you can see what I'm working with! Its a rough longbox but actually pretty solid for what i want to do with it. (chop it up) The floor is solid but beat up and theres some damage and old repair work in the drivers side that I've got to figure out a fix for?

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
I Finally got the box apart and i think it actually looks better in pieces than it did together! I really tried to save all the rusty bolts to reuse but after messing around for way to long I started cutting, welding and drilling them out! Im happy with the box floor as its not as bad as i thought.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!
Ok first up is chop down and shorten the passenger bedside! Ive seen a lot of different ways to shorten box sides but nothing really stood out to me since i didn't want to just chop the whole backside or frontside off. The front cut i kept close to the edge to eliminate warping and save as much original paint as possible. That should help with my paint blending later! I did make it complicated for myself though as i staggered the cut on the outside vs the inside box. I used tape to keep my lines paralell and it was also an aid for the measurements.

lower section was tricky to keep the contour and the sloping body line lighted up.

I don't post much in the build section anymore, mostly because there's so many, and I just don't have time to follow along anymore... but I couldn't resist with this one. Read every post so far. Love it and keep it up
