Finally finishing up the Z is on the list and yes I am cutting off the pinch.

Ive always been curious on how some of these trucks get soooo low. thanks for shedding the light man! I was hoping someone would point me in the right direction. a full one off custom frame isn't in my budget for my 71. lol

yea nad what bed is on there.the back lights look like off of a 72c10

No pics. The way I did it was to unbolt it then move it up and weld it back in. You can also cut the sides and move it up and weld it back in that way.

If you are talking about the bed on page 7, that is not my truck. That is just how I had planned to do my gas filler.

From today.... The fender is just resting on the tire. I am going to have to raise the inner fender for it to mount properly.
When I modified my crossmember I didn't take anything out of the overall height of it. As it is now it lays out the same time the pinch does.

Thanks but the wheels aren't mine. I just borrowed them to check clearances.

I saw that in the earlier post ........ but they ARE right on for your build. What are you going to utilize for wheels?

I'm leaning towards the coys myself.

My trailer fenders were too low so today I cut them out along with a lot of other sheet metal to give it room to lay with the fenders on.

Narrowing the track width helped a lot too. I still have to roll the fender lip but I think this is pretty good for it being layed out.

Thought I should check and see if I actually got enough lift to turn and I think I should be okay.

and 1 more ?... how are you getting that cab on and off so quickly?? it took me over a week to get enough friends to show up and lift mine

The upper arm bottoms out so that is far as it goes right now. I am trying to find a set of stock spindles as I think they will work better. But I bet I could likely turn lock to lock with the lift I get right now. This picture is with the truck laid out completely and I haven't trimmed the fender lip yet.

oh wow. now I see. thats with it dropped down? you shouldnt have much issue then. that looks sweet. does the narrowing of the front track have it in line with the rear now? I know the rear is a bit narrower than the front from the factory
