Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Are you keeping a list of all the parts and venders you're using for this build? I'd like to copy your notes like back in high school (lol). Is it weird that I'd like to have the exact same setup on my 64? Every time I look at this build, my mouth starts drooling. Plus showing your pictures to the spouse is keeping her excited for my build to start up - so keep em' coming! Thanks for sharing the build.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Got a lot of little things buttoned up this weekend. Measured for the drive shaft which I will order tomorrow. Taking the radiator to the shop to add steam line.

Need to drill two holes to finish transmission cross member, install radiator & fan, run some power, get mufflers on and see if this thing starts.

Awesome as always, I do have a concern that you may already know. The fuel line is really close to the headers. Do you have a plan for that or thought about it? Just lookin' out for ya.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Thanks Alan, I made the fuel line extra long for first time start up, it's not even tightened yet. Just wanted to leave enough line for final routing. I will probably run it outside the frame rail on the first start up.

What are you gonna use for the coolant cross over tubes on the 4 corners of the heads? Noticed from the pic that they look to be exposed still.

The front crossover is in place which includes the steam line. The rear ports are blocked off if I remember correct, I will look again tonight but I'm pretty sure they are blocked off.

Man, I LOVE those shocks. Then I saw the price tag.

Top notch, this truck will be so fun to drive!

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Installed temp sensor from dakota gauges in rear port on the passenger side. Left stock sensor in stock location which will allow the ECU to control the fan.

Waiting to get the radiator back from shop, then it will be time to fire the puppy up!

Oh sweetness, you are close!!

I hope the amount of time, money, and effort you have put into this is surpassed only by the satisfaction you get when you finally get to drive it!!

And a few compliments from pretty girls wont hurt either !!!

I am still a loooooong ways off from turning a key on mine!

No way, on top of work much of which is out of town I also served on a grand jury for the month of February. Now that was interesting
