I was indeed talking about the red one, wives. If you ever decide to sell it please let me know. That a sharp looking truck. Bgrafx that suburb would be way to new to spark my interest, thanks for the offer though.

Re: Square body extended cabs

Noi differrence, but the dually is unique and I already have a 68 Suburban and a 69 IHC Travelall, so really just no interest in another grocery getter unless it was from the 50's. Like a NAPCO Suburban, that would be nice.

Re: Square body extended cabs

I've been in the ever so slow process of replacing the headliner in my truck done by Custom Vehicles International. After practically destroying the old headliner to get it out, it was in for quite the surprise. Now keep in mind that the following photo was taken just after I put some insulation material into the roof. Originally the outer skin was uninsulated.

The old headliner was a factory headliner extended 18" using some sort of high density foam material. Almost the entirety of the headliner was glued to the ceiling, hence nearly destroying it.

To extend the cab they made their cuts and pulled the cab apart. The edge of the front half of the roof was bent down using what appears to be pliers and just behind it rests a bowed piece of C channel to help support the roof. They then made a left, right, and center patch panel to extend the inside structure while the outside was handled using a large sheet of steel and about a 4-6" overlap on top of the front portion of the sheet metal.

It's quite the hack job, but I guess it worked!

Re: Square body extended cabs

Anyone know where that broke down dually is sitting, I could use a piece of interior trim off of it.
